I have over 5 years of experience in marketing across different industries. I like to have a broad understanding of everything and make sure I’m familiar with the services or products offered by the companies I work for. I believe it’s crucial to understand your company’s bottom line and the value you provide to your clients, so that marketing strategies can actually be effective. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with large, medium, and small companies in sectors like media, international education, civil construction, Aboriginal consulting services, and tourism. Some of the companies I’ve worked with include NOVA Entertainment, the University of South Australia, Birubi Australia, and government agencies like StudyAdelaide.
My previous roles have given me an open mind and helped me understand various aspects of marketing, as well as how companies can achieve better results by combining traditional and digital marketing strategies. My most recent experience was in advertising, where I worked alongside marketing agencies in Adelaide to coordinate advertising campaigns for clients such as McDonald’s, Meals on Wheels, and others. After two years in advertising, I decided it was time for a new challenge and wanted to focus more on helping companies grow their marketing strategies from the ground up. This led me to Stella Startups.
I had never worked in the startup ecosystem before, but I had the opportunity to get to know Gemma Clancy, who had been my career development mentor. She told me about the work Stella Startups does and how they’re passionate about helping startups grow. The energy and passion she had for this work convinced me that this was the next challenge I wanted to pursue. And now, I’m loving it.
Although I didn’t have prior experience in the startup sector, I’ve enjoyed every minute of working with different founders and startup teams. I can see the passion they have for the services they offer, to the point where I’ve found myself equally passionate about their work. At Stella, we don’t just act as a service provider – we become part of your team, working alongside you to help you achieve the goals you set.
I get up in the morning because I genuinely love helping businesses grow through meaningful, data-driven marketing. There’s something exciting about analysing what’s working, identifying new opportunities, and seeing how the right strategy can transform a company. Every day brings a new challenge, a new idea, or a new founder to support and that sense of purpose and impact is what motivates me to start my day.
My startup superpower is my ability to blend analytical thinking with practical, hands-on marketing experience across many industries. I dive deep into understanding a business, its customers, and its goals, then translate that into strategies that actually work. I bring structure, clarity, and measurable results to chaotic, early-stage environments, while also becoming an extension of the team I’m supporting.
My ideal Friday night is all about unwinding after a long week. I love watching horror movies… don’t ask me why, because I truly don’t know. I just enjoy them, even when they’re absolutely terrible. I also like to stay active, so you’ll usually find me at the gym in the evenings or playing volleyball.
